I guess I should weigh in on the Alito Hearings, I was hoping to be spared doing this , but some mitigating circumstances compel me to blog on this today.I particularly want to focus on the questioning between Senator Ted Kennedy (D) MA and Judge Alito specifically dealing with CAP [Concerned Alumni of Princeton]First of all for the democrats and Ted Kennedy specifically to launch into a verbal battle of wills with Judge Alito was silly, immature and totally unproductive. First of all the democrats literlly have nothing and using this as a wedge issue that will ultimately fail in the long run. I really see very little thats wrong with CAP, they were against college a college quota system not a big deal…complained that the admission of women and minorities would undermine the university once again not a big deal….CAP supported a quota system to ensure that the vast majority of students would continue to be men. Now this one I have a problem with being a woman….Prospect magazine, published by CAP, specialized in reactionary rhetoric and ad hominem attacks. Feminists were labeled “frumps” actually I find this one quite humorous and I agree they probably are frumpy, heaven knows they have absolutely no fashion sense whatsoever.
Basically Concerned Alumni of Princeton had no real power at all, its mostly a free speech issue to me, they are entitled to their views. Whether Alito was a member or not he has nothing to be ashamed of or hide, even if he shares some of their social or political ideologies big deal so what, I am woman and I do too! If it was me, i’d stand up to the democrats and speak my peace and if i was a member of the Concerned Alumni of Princeton and shared some of their philosophy i’d admit it and challenge those democrats verbatim. Its called honesty. To all my visitors and to Mr Alito I leave you with this… In an interview with Ted Koppel Anwar Sadat stated the following….Koppel once asked him after you die what you want on your gravestone, Sadat paused a moment then replied “Here lies a man that was willing to die for his principles rather than live without any”…I found that most profound. The moral is Mr. Alito are you willing to lay down for your principles or hide from them?

Washington Post /MSNBC
On the news today, while watching an news brief during MSNBC’s Imus In The Morning Show I was alarmed to hear that according to the
“Americans overwhelmingly support aggressive government pursuit of terrorist threats, even if it may infringe on personal privacy, but they divide sharply along partisan lines over the legitimacy of President Bush’s program of domestic eavesdropping without court authorization, according to a new Washington Post-ABC News poll.”
This I find scary on many levels, the reason this agressive spying nonsense is unfortunately succeeding and seemingly accepted by americans in general is because unfortunately in these days people tend to be motivated too much in their own self interests and Bush and Cheney play on this, they lay down the foundation for it by playing up the politics of fear trump card.
By becoming tolerant of the Bush administrations agressive and possibly lawbreaking domestic spying. What I don’t think many people realize is that this will redifine what democracy is in America if we keep redifining what democracy is in this country it may no longer be a democracy at least not the same one our founding fathers envisioned for us.
If the Bush Administration is allowed to continue this agressive style of unecessary domestic spying and invasion into the privacy of everyday americans, there is tremendous potential for abuse here and americans should see beyond their own self interest and fear and rebel against neocon Bush/Cheney policies, this arrogant administration needs to know that america will not tolerate thier abuse of the american people’s privacy rights, if we slowly peal away these layers like Bush/Cheney want to what we will have will no longer qualify as a democracy but a facist republic and we will only have ourselves to blame for it

Why does this trial get no media attention? I will explain what this case is really about and it is a semi silly yet deep down a federal crime. Today in Milwaukee five people go on trial for election tampering some from the democratic state dem office and some national party members of the Kerry campain as well. Well it is a petty case but these are the guys who are accused of slashing on election day the tires of 2o republican vehicles, therefore hurting their get out to vote campain. Well if you remember Kerry didn’t win Wisconsin by much. Where is the media on this I never heard of it yet court TV is supposed to carry the trial live. The best part is the witnesses in this,,Jesse Jackson JR,two congressman, state party leaders and yes the biggest sleazeball of them all in politics the head of the AFL-CIO. Gezz if this was a trial about republicans doing this it would be plastered all over tv instead of this yawnfest they call the Alito hearings. Be fair media mention this . I know Heathers argument will be same thing Bush did in 2000 to steal that election or sounds like Rove, yet she will say that and is the one to always tell me the past is the past but when it fits her she brings up ex slimy tactics repubs use and fails to mention scuzzy dem tactics, and she uses past examples to make her point.
It appears at a meeting with (in person BTW) Hugo Chavez the tyrant from Venezuala Harry Belafonte(what did this guy do to become famous BTW?) called President yes Heather he is still President of the United States ,a terrorist and said socialism is better than democracy. Well Harry you no talent hack stay with Hugo then you clown don’t come back to the states we don’t need nor want you. My bet is a guy like this runs his mouth and does something like this and is not even picked up on liberal media channels. Guess what it doesn’t deserve to be either. But a hurricane or disaster this guy will cry beg plead for TV concerts to raise funds or something where my bet he gives not a dime of his money it’s all just about him getting on TV. People like Catty Couric will kiss his azz and call him a great american jewel or something like that .
After there straight weeks of episodes that put you to sleep Meet The Press finally had a half way decent show this Sunday [Jan 08, 06] Particularly the segment with Kate O’Beirne and Kate Michelman which really piqued my intrest.
I have long been opposed to Ms. Michelman’s politial ideology and her extremist feminist views which I personally believe the majority of american women do not share. It is Ms Michelman’s ideology and disciples which has systematically slowly destroyed the Democratic Party and eroded mainstream american values.
Ms. Michelman during the decade of the 70’s at one point in her life was jobless and pregnant when abandoned by her husband was on welfare and unfortunately turned to abortion rather than carry the child to term. As a pro-life person I do not suscribe to her extremist babble because human life is a precious gift of life from God, and i find the far left hipocritical they are so concerned with preserving things like the rain forest, endangered species of animals and plants , natural resources etc. and yet defy logic and common sense in not having the same philosophy with human beings
Kate O’Beirne was correct in her book when she states… Women Who Make the World Worse”—Who are they?
“they’re the kind of women who—apropos our discussion this morning—hype the phony gender gap in order to intimidate politicians. They’re the kind of women who claim to celebrate women’s choices when it comes to family and career, but they only think there’s one responsible choice, which is following a male career pattern. People think that feminism is sort of a spent force. And my book makes the point that no, it’s not. The modern women’s movement is enormously influential. Their premises have been widely accepted in our institutions. They engage in social engineering in our schools, trying to—very hostile to little boys and boyhood; have enormous influence on our university campuses. We certainly saw that with the dispute over President Larry Summers at Harvard. And our institutions, I argue, are weaker as a result of these feminist ideologues”.
In my personal opinion the radical feminists have ruined America and its core value structure but the Supreme Court liberals have a role to play in this as welll with Roe v. Wade by legalizing abortions to american females it has cheapened life and the respect we have for it, and if that isn’t enough we have progresssed to partial birth abortions which america if it had any common sense would be ashamed. one more sidebar I wish to add is that feminists use the old ploy of aborting the fetus if it cannot survive outside the mother’s womb because its not a human being…well incubators have shredded that theory as more and more of what the radical left refers to as “fetuses” are surviving outside the mother’s womb in earlier stages of her tri-mester

Much has been written this year about the possibility that future historians will regard George W. Bush as the worst U.S. president ever.
Recently, columnist Richard Reeves wrote:
“The History News Network at George Mason University has just polled historians informally on the Bush record. Four hundred fifteen, about a third of those contacted, answered … 338 said they believed Bush was failing, while 77 said he was succeeding. Fifty said they thought he was the worst president ever.”
I’ll go one up on that. Not only is Bush at the bottom among the presidents — Fillmore, Buchanan, Andrew Johnson, Grant, Harding, Hoover and Carter, I would argue, were probably all marginally better, or at least not quite as bad — in addition, Bush is arrogant to a point that suggests megalomania, a mental disorder. He’s even more arrogant than Nixon, and that’s saying plenty.
I leave it to Reeves to lay out specifics of Bush’s staggering incompetence. He did a fine job in the aforementioned article, “Is George Bush the Worst President — Ever?” It can be found on his Web site‘ I’ll just add that Bush has the anti-King-Midas touch. Everything seems to turn into Texas Manure Crawford style.
But after his so-called defiant performances in defending the secret eavesdropping, in complete disregard for the law, the “president” revealed himself as what some have long suspected. This is the American Mussolini, only crazier. (And at least Il Duce could make the trains run on time).
Early in Bush’s first term, even before 9-11, one blogger dubbed Bush “Il Doofus.” Now, with three years left in Bush’s second term, it doesn’t seem so funny.
Bush not only has the insolence to claim that his warrantless domestic spying was proper, he has also complained about “illegal” leaks to the media about his administration’s brash lawlessness.
The fact is that a 1978 law, passed in response to Nixon’s many abuses of power, clearly and explicitly requires the government to obtain a warrant for such action.
Predictably, Bush has had defenders. Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice and Attorney General Alberto Gonzales were quick to oblige. And this is simply part of the problem. This megalomaniac has surrounded himself with nothing but cronies and toadies. Anyone who would dare risk one of his private tantrums has long since departed, leaving America to be “led” by a crypto-fascist crackpot who apparently believes that God speaks directly to him.
The first thing the House of Representatives should do when it reconvenes in January is start drawing up articles of impeachment. If they would do that to a president who lied about getting a blow job, what about one who has clearly broken a law that specifically limits his powers?
Problem is, some of Bush’s GOP cronies are in the House, chairing committees. And then there’s the Supreme Court that appointed him president in the first place. This offense is likely to go to them for a decision. It will be 5-4, I’ll bet.
The Boston Globe recently quoted Yale University constitutional law professor Jack Balkin: “Once you begin with the assumption that an emergency justifies suspension of constitutional rights, and that the president cannot be bound by the rule of law … there is very little left to restrain the president. And so he has not been restrained.”
I’ll suggest one thing to restrain this president. A straitjacket would do the job nicely.
Well look this week for the proof to come out that Saddam trained terrorists before 9-11-01 foriegners to boot not homegrown ones. In documents translated and siezed from Saddams personal collection 50,000 of the 2 million pages have been translated so far. In these first 50 thousand it shows Saddam and his regime trained about 2,000 Islamic radical terror thugs from 1999-2002, in three camps in Samarra,Ramadi and Salman Pak. This was done by Iraqi units of his personal military, and their goal of these camps once again confirmed was to hit western intrests. The camp at Salman Pak alone had one training specialty and that was to hijack western aircraft,(humm sound like 9-11 there) Once again this story will break in coming weeks some of it this week, but confirmed by eleven in the know officials in USA intel and defense as well as Whitehouse officials (not soo much WH though) Why is it taking soo long to decifer these 2 million you ask? Well its not all written pages this intel includes mauals, Photos, handwritten notes, typed documents,audio/video tapes, compact disks, hardrives, and floppy software. Rumsfeld has now taken to pushing for a sped up process on translating these items all of them and all I am told will be released . So I guess the naysay argument of Saddam not having trained foreign terror thugs is now out the window for the crying lefties. Next week weapons of mass destruction who knows,as things are fludid and rapid moving on proof now. Time for the left to whine and knitpick on something else as Saddam was a scuzball and needed to go. Just remeber war isn’t quick like the media wants it to be stay the course stay patient and thank our troops who serve and morn the ones lost in a cause for the greater good ,it may take 20 years but your grandkids grandkids will be better off in long run.

I Just wanted to put an honerable mention about Lou Rawls who rectently passed away today at 72 years old after a battle with brain cancer.
I know it will get little play in the media and most likely a major theatrical movie will not be made of his life like Ray Charles, but in my humble opinion Lou Rawls was a class act who lived a decent life unlike Ray Charles, and did more and accomplished more, for his own people, than Ray Charles ever did. Lou Rawls was never the womanizer that Ray Charles was and was never a drug addict, and yes i doubt Lou Rawls will never be remembered they way Ray Charles will be, and thats unfortunate.
Many people will point out the obsticicles Ray Charles had to overcome, the major one being his blndness, well not many people realize Lou Rawls did too…In 1958, while touring the South with the Travelers and Sam Cooke, Rawls was in a serious car crash that claimed the life of one person. Rawls was actually pronounced dead before getting to the hospital where he stayed in a coma for 5-1/2 days. It took him months to regain his memory and a year to fully recuperate. Rawls considered the event life-changing.
In 1980, Rawls began the “Lou Rawls Parade of Stars Telethon” which benefits the United Negro College Fund. The annual event, now known as “An Evening of Stars”, consists of musical performances and stories of successful African American students who have graduated or benefitted from one of the many historically black colleges and universities who receive support from the UNCF. The event has raised over US$200 million for the fund thus far (2006). In addition to that Lou Rawls did many other philanthropic endeavors such as using his personal mony to rebuild schools in disrepair personal scholarship awards for musically inclined and many other forms of charitable works. Mr Rawls was a class act…the world needs more class act men….the few that exist, society should recognize . Lou Rawls was equally talented as Ray Charles and in my humble opinion lived a more honorable life than Ray Charles, but will society pay Lou Rawls as much honor and respect as Ray Charles?…I can only hope that is the case. Lou this one’s for you! Thank You for your music.

There is no debate that this is a brazen assault on the Christian faith. I would go as far to say that Jack Kenny (the writer) is using this as a means to settle a vendetta with the faith that he has rejected. His homosexual tendencies give all the more reason to attack the one faith that condemns him.
We would all like to see this trash never reach the airwaves, but even if it is broadcast, all will not be lost. It will show the ‘dormant christians’ what malevolent contempt NBC has for their faith. There are people out there who need to realize that they have ‘fallen asleep at the wheel’ when it comes to matters concerning their Christian faith.
There are many Christians who have much to say in condemnation of this series, but we need to realize that there people out there like Jack Kenny that are desparate to see this series go on, as it agrees with their hatred of Christianity. Some of the other message boards such as yayhooray.com are awash with venom and hatred for Christians. Trying to reason with them is futile - much like the old saying that goes, “Never teach a pig to play the piano - you will only break the piano and annoy the pig”
The Bible teachs us the following: (Ephesians 6:10-18)
Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the evil one’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints.
